Avery and Jenn just returned from a visit to NJ, where they got to spend a week w/Auntie Kirsten, Uncle Jerry, Zachary (age 3...almost 4) and Logan (age 18 mo.). They had a fantastic week together and the kids were smitten with each other. Friendship is a gift, but a lifelong friend is a blessing. What a treat to watch the "rewards" the Lord has blessed us mommies with - in our kids, and their joy and love for each other.
A fav. pass time, the ball pit.
A fav. pass time, the ball pit.
Avery and Zach were all smiles around each other.
It's coloring time!
Grandma Orlene (Kirsten's mom) stopped by for a few visits while we were there.
Logan and Avery at the Braatz family farm. (Jerry's parents started their Alpaca business....breeding Alpacas in 2004 and done an amazing job with these animals.) Logan wasn't shy one bit to chase after the animals but Avery was a bit more cautious. The Alpacas are much more afraid of us than we are of them, but trying to reason that theory w/a 2 yr. old.......was a different story. ;-) Very fun trip!
Avery got a little pretend practice driving the Braatz's John Deere Tractor.
Logan off to catch the Alpacas with G-Dad (Jerry's dad).
Kirsten, Jenn & Avery (who's got a watchful eye on the Alpacas).
Avery, the donut queen. (Avery and her daddy have a Sunday tradition of picking up donuts..but since we missed Sunday w/daddy, we settled for Hostess donuts at the groc. store instead, and they were a BIG hit for all the kids.

Our last day w/the Braatz family......Logan and Avery enjoying the sandbox. What a trip!
