The 4th of July is a special holiday in our neighborhood. Our subdivision has a Women's Network that puts on events throughout the year, this being the biggest! The day's festivities get started w/a pancake breakfast at the park down the street from our house, then follows a celebratory parade w/a few hundred participants, and ends with a luncheon at the park w/amusement park activities. This year seemed to draw the largest crowd, and what a treat for the kids! This year we were able to celebrate our "country's freedom" with some of our special friends.
Avery's daddy put together her wagon today, a special gift from Uncle Mikey & Auntie Sarah. She loves it!!
The neighborhood parade route runs right next to our house, so we had front row seats!
Our friends, the Spivey family, the Evans family and the Furjanic family all were able to come and join the fun!
One of the many decorative vehicles we got to enjoy watching drive by!
Several of the parade participants were throwing out candy, so the girls were excitedly grabbing for what they could find in our yard.
