Introducing the Olsen Four

As new parents again, we are blessed beyond words to have brought home our precious little boy this Labor Day weekend. This indescribable instant love is truly a gift from above. Our hearts are overflowing with joy as we embrace life with our sweet Avery and our little man, Benjamin. Children are a gift and a reward! Chris and I are both honored and in awe that our mighty God has entrusted these two precious gifts to us.

Many have asked how we chose the name Benjamin Phillip. So here's the short short short version. ;-) We had a short list of names, as we wanted to wait to name our little guy after he arrived. After much thought, prayer, and waiting for him to tell us what his name should be......we officially arrived at Benjamin Phillip 14 hrs. after he was born. He is named after both of his grandpa's. Chris's dad's middle name is Ben, and my dad's middle name is Phillip. We were hopeful and wanted to honor both of our amazing dads but we wanted to be sure his name fit him before we committed to it. We think it fits him perfectly. ;-) (Some of you have asked if we will call him Ben. Right now, he is Benjamin to us.)

Here are a few pictures for now but we hope to put together more of a slideshow over the next week. ;-) Thank you for all of your well wishes and prayers! We've received so much love from many of you over the last few days, and although we haven't been able to respond individually to each of you, we genuinely appreciate all your love and support. ;-) We are so blessed!
