She did end up being a bit shy but warmed up to meeting Elmo, specifically because Benjamin was going to get his picture taken w/him. Big sister didn't want to be left out. The picture below is funny here as you can see Avery's got that "i'm watching you" look in her eye. ;-)
The real surprise of the night though was when Santa showed up. The minute he walked thru the door, Avery screamed "mommy, it's Santa Claus!". No more shy girl here. ;-)Christmas is my fav. time of year, but it's especially magical now that Avery is old enough to enjoy the season as all kiddos do. ;-) We are very conscious to make Avery aware of the real meaning of this season, celebrating our King's birth...however at this age, she's a bit more receptive to Santa and what he brings.
Either way, it's an exciting time of year and it was fun to watch her excitment as he arrived!
Santa, please don't go!!
